Know Before You Go: BGSU Visit Tips
May - August is "summer session" at BGSU.
    • While summer is a great time to visit, campus tends to be quiet during this time of year, with many of our students and faculty spending time away from BGSU.
    Limited-access Dates
The Office of Admissions will not be available for visits on the following dates this summer:
    • Saturday, May 25 - Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day
    • Wednesday, June 19,  in observance of Juneteenth
    • Thursday, July 4 - Sunday, July 7, in observance of Independence Day
    • Friday, August 16 - Sunday, August 25, as campus will be preparing for and hosting new student move-in
If a date is not listed on the calendar, no visits are available.

    Special Requests & Personalized Visits
    • Visits to specific buildings and day-of requests for meetings are difficult to accommodate, especially over the summer when most faculty are off campus.
    • If you’re interested in a personalized experience, please reach out to your BGSU admissions counselor at least 2 weeks in advance.
    • Personalized meetings and tours cannot be accommodated on Saturdays, holidays or during large visit days (like Presidents Day, Falcon Friday or Destination: BGSU.)
    • Personalized meetings are extremely limited over the summer (May - August) as most faculty are off campus, focused on summer courses or summer research/projects.
Visits and tours will take place, rain or shine, snow or heat!
    • General campus tours are approximately 90-minutes and include time outside as you visit spaces like our student recreation center, the student union, residence halls, outdoor spaces and a general academic buildings.
    • We recommend dressing for the weather, wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a refillable water bottle, especially on hot days.
    • Golf cart tours are not available.
