BGSU Campus Visits & Events
There's no better way to decide whether a school is going to be the right fit than to visit and explore. (And sometimes it takes a few visits to make that decision!) That's why we have a robust schedule of events designed with you in mind.
To register for a visit:

Campus visits will be paused for Winter Break from Saturday, Dec. 20 through Sunday, Jan. 4. We'll be back for visitors starting Monday, Jan. 5. While visits resume on Jan. 5, classes don’t begin until Monday, Jan. 12. Campus will be quiet Jan. 5–10, and access to some spaces (like dining halls) will be limited.
General Admissions Presentation and Campus Tour (Great for first-time visitors and students just starting their college search)
Offered most weekdays and select Saturdays throughout the year.

This type of visit includes a 30-minute admissions presentation and 90-minute general campus tour.
- The 30-minute Admissions Presentation will cover topics like life on campus, your experience in the classroom, your college search timeline, scholarships and financial aid.
- After the presentation, you and your guests will enjoy a 90-minute general campus tour led by a current BGSU student who will tell you all about life at BGSU.
- This is a general visit and is not personalized. Campus tours will include stops in our student recreation center, the student union, a traditional residence hall, outdoor spaces and a general academic spaces. Tours will take place, rain or shine; the route is subject to change in inclement weather.
Some academic programs offer meetings you can add to your visit. Registration for these optional academic meetings is required and is separate from registration for the general admissions presentation and tour. Review academic meeting options, check dates and register.
Presidents Day Open House

Experience Bowling Green your way at the Presidents Day Open House - our largest, most comprehensive event of the year!
This is one of the best days to visit campus (and there's no better way to decide if a college is the right fit than to visit and explore.) Hosted on a day where our students are in classes, you'll get to see campus in full swing. This is also a "choose your own adventure" event, so you'll be able to choose from a wide range of activities - this is your visit, your way!
- Take a look at showrooms in all of our first-year residence halls (This is the only day all year when this is possible!)
- Enjoy special activities & presentations hosted in labs, academic spaces and resource centers on campus to connect with faculty, staff and current students
- Visit the exhibitor area to connect with areas like Club Sports, Falcon Marching Band, Student Financial Aid and more
- Attend presentations on topics like Financial Aid, living on campus and the Honors College
- Explore campus with a current BGSU student on a tour
Quick details about Presidents Day Open House:
- Check-in opens at 7:45 a.m. Eastern with programming scheduled from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- The event program with all presentations, tours, activities will be emailed to all registrants the week of the event so you can start planning your day. There is no set itinerary for this event; you get to choose your schedule for the day.
- Registration for this event is required.
- This is a large-scale event with many guests attending.
- Personalized meetings and tours are not available at this event.
Falcon Friday for High School Seniors

Whether this is your first visit to campus or a return visit, Falcon Friday is an excellent time for high school seniors to finalize their plans for the fall.
Here's what you can expect if you attend this event:
- Start your day in the Exhibitor Area to connect with representatives from various academic departments and student services like Student Housing and Financial Aid.
- Attend helpful presentations developed specifically for high school seniors. Topics will include important next steps, dates and deadlines, scholarships and financial aid and student support.

The afternoon is designed to be a "choose your own adventure" experience. You have the option to choose from a number of activities, including:
- One-on-one appointments with Student Financial Aid staff
- An info session led by Student Housing, all about room selection and living on campus
- Self-guided tours of some first-year residence halls
- Student-led, general campus tours (Great for first-time visitors!)
- Walk-in appointments with Accessibility Services to discuss possible academic and housing accommodations and resources available to students with disabilities
- An info session led by College Credit Plus staff who will discuss transfer of college credits taken while attending high school
- and more!
Registration for Falcon Friday is required.
Falcon Fridays are limited to high school seniors and their guests only. Juniors or underclassmen who register for Falcon Friday will be automatically moved to the General Admissions Presentation and Campus Tour, if space allows.
Pathway Visit Day (for students admitted to the BGSU Pathway Program)
Hosted on Friday, Jan. 23
This event is only for students already admitted to the BGSU Pathway Program. Registrations for students NOT admitted to this program will be cancelled.

Students admitted to the BGSU Pathway Program are invited to join us to learn more about the Pathway experience and to explore campus in-person.

- Overview of the Pathway Program, including expectations and opportunities
- Student Financial Aid Info Session
- Next Steps to Becoming a Falcon
- Pathway Panel, featuring current BGSU students in the Pathway program (bring your questions!)
- A student-led, 90-minute, general campus tour, including stops inside a few student life spaces, including our Student Union, Recreation Center, a residence hall and newly-opened Maurer Center (great for first-time visitors!)
- Walk-in appointments with Accessibility Services; staff will be available to discuss possible academic and housing accommodations and resources available to students with disabilities.
- One-on-one meetings with Student Financial Aid

Junior Visit Day (for high school juniors or younger)

High school juniors and underclassmen - it's never too early to start college visits, and we hope you'll consider joining us for an introduction to Bowling Green. Whether you're feeling excited, nervous, curious, clueless (or all of the above!) this visit is designed to give you a head start as you start thinking about what's next.
Here's what you can expect if you join us for Junior Visit Day:
- Start your day in the Exhibitor Area to connect with representatives from various academic departments, the BGSU Honors College, Club Sports, Student Housing, Financial Aid, Admissions and more.
- The formal program will include brief presentations that explore life on campus, our unique approach to student support, academic opportunities, the admissions and application process, important dates and BGSU scholarship opportunities.
- Afterwards, you'll head out on a general campus tour. Led by a current BGSU student, this 90-minute walking tour will include stops in a dining hall, a residence hall, our student union and student recreation center, a few general classroom spaces, our campus library and a variety of outdoor spaces. Your tour guide will be happy to tell you all about life at BGSU, so come ready with questions!
- After your tour, as the visit wraps up, you're welcome to revisit the exhibitor area for a bit more time with the representatives in attendance.
Registration for Junior Visit Day is required. These events are limited to high school juniors or younger and their guests only. Seniors who register for Junior Visit Day will be automatically removed from the event; please choose an alternate date for your visit.
Know Before You Go: BGSU Visit Tips
The Office of Admissions will not be available for visits on the following dates this spring:- Saturday, Dec. 20 - Sunday, Jan. 4 Winter Break

- Monday, Jan. 19 Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Saturday, Feb. 14 preparation for Presidents Day weekend
- Saturday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 7 Spring Break
- Saturday, April 2 Easter Weekend
- Saturday, May 2 Spring Commencement
- All Sundays
The Office of Admissions will be open on the following dates, but campus will not be in "full swing." It will be somewhat quiet around campus on these dates and access to some spaces (including dining halls) may be limited.
Saturday, Dec. 20 through Sunday, Jan. 4. - Winter Break
Monday, March 2 - Friday, March 6 - Spring Break
- Visits to specific buildings and day-of requests for meetings are difficult to accommodate. If you’re interested in a personalized experience, please reach out to your BGSU admissions counselor at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Personalized meetings and tours cannot be accommodated on Saturdays, holidays or during large visit days (like Presidents Day Open House and Falcon Fridays)
- Many departments and academic programs host in-person meetings that complement the general campus visit and don't require a special request or extra planning. Registration for these academic experiences is required and is separate from registration for the general campus visit. Learn more!
- General campus tours are approximately 90-minutes and include time outside as you visit spaces like our student recreation center, the student union, residence halls, outdoor spaces and a general academic buildings.
- The tour route distance is approximately 2.5 miles.
- We recommend dressing for the weather, wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a refillable water bottle, especially on hot days.
- Golf cart tours are not available.
- The general campus tour route is subject to change if weather is poor. This can include thunderstorms, extreme cold or extreme heat.
- While this does not happen often, if the University is closed due to inclement weather, visits will likely be cancelled. We will notify all registered guests via email and text message, using the information provided when registering.
- Be sure to check the weather in Bowling Green, Ohio before travelling to campus, especially during winter months.
- Visitors are encouraged to spend time in Bowling Green while you're visiting campus. Learn more about restaurants, shopping and special events hosted throughout the year.
What if my plans change, and I need to cancel my visit registration?
- To cancel your registration, please use the link included in your confirmation or reminder email.
- Schools and organizations interested in bringing a group of students to any visits or events listed on this page should reach out to groupvisit@bgsu.edu prior to registering.
- Summer 2026 visits (May - August) will be posted at this site in April
