BGSU Tour for Transfer Students
Offered on select Mondays, Friday and Saturdays throughout the FallThis visit experience includes a 90-minute campus tour, led by a current BGSU student.
Come ready with questions for your tour guide, who will be happy to tell you all about life at BGSU. Tours will include a visit to our student recreation center, the student union, a traditional residence hall, the Maurer Center (home of the Schmidthorst College of Business and classrooms for students from any major), outdoor spaces and a general academic building.
Transfer Student Info Session & Campus Tour
The Transfer Student Info Session & Campus Tour is an expanded visit for students interested in transferring to BGSU.
This visit includes a 30-minute info session hosted by the BGSU Transfer Team.
Immediately following the presentation, you and your guests will enjoy a 90-minute campus tour, led by a current BGSU student.
After your tour, connect with a Transfer Admissions Counselor in-person. They're ready to answer questions and, if you haven't already, they can help you apply to BGSU.

Preview Day is a great opportunity get a true sense of life at BGSU and explore at your own pace. Designed to be a "choose your own adventure" event, you're able to choose from a wide range of activities - this is your visit, your way!
- Visit with academic departments and student service areas in our exhibitor area
- Take a closer look at select academic spaces, labs and learning environments during special activities hosted by academic areas
- Attend information sessions on topics like transferring to BGSU, study abroad, living on campus and more
- Take a campus tour, which will include visits to classrooms, academic building, the recreation center (just to name a few)
- Explore a variety of residence halls
Preview Day is a large-scale event with many guests attending.
Know Before You Go: BGSU Visit Tips
Limited-access DatesThe Office of Admissions will not be available for visits on the following dates this summer:
- Monday, Nov. 11 - Veteran's Day
- Wednesday, Nov. 27 - Sunday, Dec. 1 - Thanksgiving Break
- Saturday, December 21 - Wednesday, Jan. 1 - Winter Break
- Visits to specific buildings and day-of requests for meetings are difficult to accommodate. If you’re interested in a personalized experience, please reach out to your BGSU Transfer Admissions Counselor at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Personalized meetings and tours cannot be accommodated on Saturdays, holidays or during large visit days (like Preview Day).
- General campus tours are approximately 90-minutes and include time outside as you visit spaces like our student recreation center, the student union, residence halls, outdoor spaces and a general academic buildings.
- We recommend dressing for the weather, wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a refillable water bottle, especially on hot days.
- Golf cart tours are not available.
