This event is an opportunity for students interested in our unique Bachelor of Science in Resort and Attraction Management (RAAM). You'll learn about the only resort and attraction management degree embedded in an amusement park, explore our academic building and enjoy a guided tour of one of the co-op locations, Cedar Point.Here's what you can expect if you attend:Check-in opens at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Start your day at Falcon Point, the RAAM academic facility, located in Downtown Sandusky. A light breakfast will be served. The formal program begins at 10 a.m. Eastern and will include:Program Overview hosted by Professor and Founding Director Dr. Swathi Ravichandran. Learn all about our partnership with Six Flags, including guaranteed, paid, customizable co-ops, generous scholarships only for students in the major, career opportunities, study abroad and more. Attend a General Admissions Information Session hosted by the Office of Admissions. Hear BGSU details about application information, scholarships and opportunities for students. Panel and Q&A, featuring representatives from RAAM faculty and recent RAAM graduates. Bring your questions! Tour Falcon Point Lofts and see where students live and learn as part of the RAAM program. After the formal program, at 11:45 a.m. Eastern, you and your guests will head to Cedar Point for a guided tour of the park, led by Six Flags. Parking and entry to the park for the guided tour will be provided, compliments of Six Flags. The guided tour will last approximately 60 minutes, and will be a walking tour. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. After the guided tour, you and your guests are welcome to stay in the park to finish your day. Lunch tickets will be provided, so you can enjoy lunch at the park after the guided tour. Note - the tour is expected to finish up around 1:30 p.m. Eastern, so it may be a late lunch. We'll provide grab-and-go snacks you can pick up at Falcon Point before you head to the park. Before registering, please review this information carefully:Students are permitted to bring a maximum of 2 guests. No additional guests can be accommodated. No exceptions can be made. When registering, please include firm, finalized details for the guests who will be joining the student. This information is required to guarantee entry to the park for the guided tour. Any changes must be sent to meganjc@bgsu.edu one week prior to the event in order to guarantee entry to the park for the guided tour. Students and their guests must stay with the tour group through the entirety of the guided tour. At the conclusion of the tour, you are welcome to remain in the park. Students and their guests must attend the formal program at Falcon Point in order to join the guided tour at Cedar Point. Parking passes and tickets for the park will be provided at the conclusion of the formal program. Registration for this event will close on Wednesday, June 17, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. No additional registrations will be permitted after it closes. No exceptions to this can be made. Registration for this event is extremely limited.
